There are so many great video clips of olive picking that here are just a few of our favourites for you to enjoy.

Jordan Winery This clip from the Jordan Winery shows hand harvesting of Pendolino, Leccino and Frantoio olives in the AlexanderValley, California. Within hours of the harvest a mobile mill presses the olives onsite and the oil is bottled nearby at Hopland. The oil is sold as Jordan Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil and this 2010 harvest will be available from May this year.

Cortes de Cima Harvesting at another vineyard and winery this time in Southern Portugal. Cortes de Cima has 50 hectares of Cobrançosa olives which are picked early to produce a high quality deep greenish yellow oil with a lightly piquant fresh flavour.

The mist is rising from the valley as we walk down to the olive grove. In the distance the sound of the church bells rings out. We spread the nets around the tree - keeping them close to the trunk to make sure the olives don't fall through and get lost onto the ground below!
